 John Shellenberger - President

John Shellenberger is a Colorado native. Born and raised on a farm in southeastern Colorado. John attended the University of Southern Colorado receiving a B.S. degree in Biology and earned a M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame specializing in finance and marketing. For the past twenty four years, John has worked at the world headquarters for global building products manufacturer Johns Manville. He has held numerous positions in the Information Technology and Business Operations Groups focused on technology management and business process improvement. Currently, John is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) a position he has held the past eight years. As CIO, John is responsible for the global operations of information technology solutions and infrastructure at 42 manufacturing plants and several service centers with over 150 employees located in North America and Europe.

John and his wife Carrie have lived in Longmont for the past 17 years. They are the parents of two sons ages 16 and 14. Both John and Carrie are very committed to education. Both of their sons attended Longmont Christian School (LCS) from pre- school through middle school with their youngest son enrolled as high school freshman starting this year. Carrie was a middle school/high school math teacher for 8 years and has volunteered many hours to LCS. John has served on the LCS board for nearly six years and is the board president. John and Carrie believe that investing in education has high return in the future of our children, community and country. They support the mission and vision of Longmont Christian School that builds the strength, character and spirit of the students and community.
