LCS 2016 End of Year Letter

Dear LCS Parents,

We are truly thankful for our LCS facility, staff and families.  Those of you that were part of the LCS family when we inhabited our previous building know that we had worn it out, used it up, and loved it to death.  We thank God for his blessings to us with our 1440 Collyer campus and the future possibilities that the property provides. Below are links to brochures, including the Child Care Contribution Tax Credit information, as stated in the letter.

National Day of Prayer 2016

Our students gathered in front of our school to participate in the National Day of Prayer.  They had a brief worship time and then spent time praying for our country, our leaders, schools, churches, and families.

How wonderful it is to see our future leaders with heads bowed and hearts humbled before the Lord in prayer.  This is what separates Christian education from all others, by not only teaching strong academics, but also infusing spiritual leadership into the hearts of our students.

Annual Trike-A-Thon fundraiser

LCS heald their annual Trike-A-Thon fundraiser for St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.  The PreK-3, PreK-4 and Kindergarten classes raised over $500.00 for St. Jude this year and learned the rules of riding toy safety.

Great Job!

RMCA Band Festival

Congratulations to all 3 LCS bands.  They all received Superior ratings (Top ratings) at the RMCA Band Festival.

Great Job!

Bill Wilkinson

Chess club has been a great experience this year at LCS! Eleven students in total have shown up to challenge one another, with eight of the students coming as consistent members.
Two of our students, Brent and Sam, have remained undefeated with records of 7-0 and 4-0, respectively. Jay and Jacob also have kept winning records of 5-3 and 5-1, respectively.

Although a few members do take part in athletics, it has been an awesome fellowship opportunity for those members who do not have an interest in sports.

Antun Maricevic, a Croatian sensation, drawing hoops scouts to Longmont Christian

"And in the seven short months that he has been corralled in Colorado, playing for Class 1A Longmont Christian, Maricevic has blossomed in the Front Range prep ranks.

"If I stay in Croatia, I don't know if I have chance to be basketball player," Maricevic said. "This is my only choice. I need try. Why move here? It's more opportunity. It gives me chance to make something of my life.""
