Coach Nguyen Nguyen

Coach Nguyen Nguyen (pronounced as Win Win) is the youngest coach in terms of age and football coaching experience.  Growing up, Nguyen never really had much interest in sports, let alone football. It wasn't until 8th grade is where he found his love for football, this included actually watching football, who were the best football players of all time, and learning the terminology.

Nguyen attended at Sheridan High School (Colorado) and lettered 3 years in high school and lettered 1 year in track and field.  Nguyen was also mentored and coached by Anthony Barela. Prior to the 2009 season, Nguyen's senior year, He had been diagnosed with type 2A Hodgkin's Lymphoma. His oncologist informed him that he could not play the 2009 season, but after some time to think, Nguyen's oncologist gave him the okay to play during the 2009 season.  Nguyen only missed one game during his season with cancer. Fortunately, the cancer was caught early and he was able to beat cancer in just 8 rounds to chemotherapy.

After graduating from Sheridan high school, Nguyen enrolled to Colorado State University with a major of Health and Exercise Science and concentration in Health Promotion.  During his 1st year at CSU, Nguyen was working walking on as a WR at CSU.  He quit football due to conflicts with school and work.

As stated earlier, Nguyen is the youngest coach on the staff, he started coaching in 2011 with the City of Fort Collins youth footballprogram. Nguyen also was the High Jump coach at Turner Middle School during the 2016 season.

I am looking forward to working with the student-athletes at LCS as well as working and learning the game with "new school" Coach Barela and "old school" Coach Christensen to build a winning program. Coach Barela has done so much for this program as well as the community and Nguyen believes that Anthony is able to turn this program around. I want to thank LCS and Anthony Barlea for giving me this opportunity to be apart of this staff and this great school and community.
